End of March brings some of the lowest tides of the year so the perfect chance to explore our Kelp forests. We might not have forests with many trees in Orkney but the forests of Kelp are stunning. Abundance of a huge variety of seaweeds and even some banks of seagrass that are under water for most of the year. For those who like me don’t like getting cold and wet trying these times are ideal just being able to walk out to places that are normally not so easy to get to. A beatiful sunset too boot! What more can you ask for?!
