What does autumn mean to you? Back to school and work, nights are drawing in, damp leaves in warm colours, berry picking, mushrooms, wet woods, stormy weather…..
To me September is a bit like January. New routines and a time for new projects and challenges. This time of year I usually set myself some challenges. Getting fit or keep up fitness is always a good one and I am trying out some new ways of staying fit.
Work challenges are also good especially for a small creative business like mine. That is how my sea shell collection came about earlier this year. For this autumn I am planning a 10 week creative challenge of 10 one off pieces. Its a perfect opportunity to use up materials and make some of those things that have been lurking in sketch books for a long time.
So bring on imagination and resourcefulness! I am starting this week! So whilst I am working on orders and starting to build up stock for…(yes you guessed it!! Christmas!!) I am also setting off time for a weekly one off piece and present them in a weekly blog and added on my website under “one of a kind”.
So watch out within the week for my first challenge piece!
Get in touch and tell me about your own personal challenges. It is always so nice to hear from people and isn’t it great for the inspiration to chat to others about idea and feed into each others creativity. It’s also nice to hear from people what they would like to see more of. Comment below or email!
Have a great September!
